Rochelle Ladin, MS LPC NCC ACS
I have been Credentialed by the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE) as an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) allowing me to provide Interns and Licensed Associate Counselors (LAC’s) clinical supervision toward full independent licensure (LPC).
My approach to Clinical Supervision is from a collaborative base to help LAC’s develop a professional counselor identity, their theoretical orientation and style. In supervision the areas we work on is competence in theory and practice, therapeutic relationship, counseling skills, case conceptualization, screening and assessment, ethical and professional responsibility. During supervision we will enhance your personal and professional awareness and growth. In supervision meetings we will discuss your clients and your approaches to working with client within the counseling relationship. I will provide feedback, guidance and encouragement.
I follow a developmental approach to supervision, using the teacher role with new LAC’s and consultation with more experienced LAC’s. In my role as Supervisor, I act as mentor, evaluator, and consultant. Together, we will develop a Plan of Supervision that will reflect the requirements of the Licensing Board and your personal needs.
I consult with supervisees one formal hour each week and encourage more frequent dialog when needed. Supervisees are given my cell phone number for emergency purposes and are encouraged to reach out to me with any concerns.
Our work together is confidential except under certain circumstances. These exceptions include any circumstance in which I am concerned for your safety or the safety of others- risk of self-harm, harm to others, or the abuse of children or elders. Its is your obligation to inform your clients that you are receiving supervision and that your supervisor will be privy to confidential information about them.
